Happy new year fellow citizen 🎉🥳

After the 2022 retrospective and a great NYE party at the Citizen Corner (Bienfaiteurs, Schaerbeek), it’s time to share what’s coming up in the coming weeks and months.

🚨 Breaking news: our temporary occupation has been extended from the end of March till the end of June 2023 🥳

Don’t forget to join our community on WhatsApp. You are very much invited to make this space yours and organise events for the community. More info on https://citizencorner.brussels/organize

Upcoming events

Sunday January 15th 2pm-7pm: afternoon concert + dance party

Come inaugurate the new bar at the Citizen Corner: “The 3 kings”. It’s a replica of the oldest bar of Schaerbeek. For the occasion, the Texan rock band Thunderosa will do a live concert, followed by a DJ set.

Entrance: €5 (free for kids)

Friday January 27th: The Critical Mass is back! 🚲🚲🚲

Every last Friday of the month, the cyclists of Brussels come together at Trône to bike around Brussels with music and great vibes. For the January edition (Friday January 27th), they will stop at the Citizen Corner. Remember last April? It was a lot of fun. Don’t miss that.

P.S: We are still looking for volunteers to help with the organisation. Reach out in the WhatsApp group of the volunteers if you can help.

Wednesday Feb 1st: Crypto Wednesday 🔐

Every first Wednesday of the month, 7pm, don’t miss “Crypto Wednesday”, the monthly event of the crypto community of Brussels to onboard new citizens to this new Internet of Cooperatives. Open to all levels. Great way to learn about those new technologies that move power away from old centralised institutions & enable citizens to create new more decentralised ones.

Next ones: Wednesday February 1st

Join us on the evening of March 17 for St Patrick's day celebrations with live traditional music and folk dancing.

Ceili (Irish) / Ceilidh (Scottish) is folk dancing done in groups. You can join even if it's your first time. There is a 'Caller' who teaches the simple steps & tells you where to go throughout each dance.

Ticket pre-sale: €10 (€15 from March 1) - buy tickets
